The Eden is deep and generous, so it feels different to sit on than a standard sofa and takes up more room — which makes it worth seeing in person and measuring for. Book a free consultation and we'll work through the size, layout and fabric with you, and make sure it fits your room and suits how your family uses it. In the Douglas showroom, where you can sink into it and feel the fabrics, or by video call to start.

To get the most from it, it helps to have a few things ready:

• Your room measurements — height, width and depth of the space the sofa needs to fit, plus walkways around it
• Photos or a scan of the room — so we can see what we're working with
• An idea of how the room gets used — who's in it and how you like to relax
• Anything you're matching to — paint samples, flooring samples, existing wood or fabric
• Your inspiration — Pinterest boards, saved images, anything that shows the look you're after
